Reserve price not met, 4 bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $5,900. Car now said to be in McAllen, Texas.

    Sellers description:
Fantastic car to restore, it is worth a lot when finished . I am selling this 1961 mk 2 , it is a texas car with NO RUST, the car has original blue paint and it is a 3.8 liter, 4 speed with overdrive and wire wheels! this a very desirable combination! That said this car is in need of a lot of work mechanically , the motor is apart but looks good, the only motor part that I don't have is the rear exhaust manifold, I don't know if the carburetors are complete , the car has good glass, all trim , cranks, knobs and handles etc, the body is super straight, the skirts are there , the chrome needs plating but very straight and complete, this car is fitted with a very rare dealer installed air conditioning system, this car was sold new in Houston texas and has been a dry climate texas car since new , the interior wood needs refinished but again very complete . you could also do a conversion to a modern drivetrain and sell the motor and trans for probably 2500 or more. the parts alone here are worth over 5000 to 10000 I think.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
