DAIMLER V8 RHD
Chassis # P1K3714BW
8-cylinder V-shaped engine - Cy lindrée: 2,5 L - Right-hand drive
In November 1962, two years after the acquisition of Daimler, Jaguar placed the excellent V8 of the SP 250 in the Mk 2. This V8 with overhead valves, powered by two SU carburettors, develops a power of 140 ch, who offer to the Daimler 2.5 liters of superior performance to those of the Mk 2 of 2.4 liters. It receives a upholstery and a finish of its own, while outwardly, it is especially recognizable by its specific grille. Of identical shape to that of the Mk 2, it has a thicker outline whose upper part is guilloche, traditional decorative theme to the brand. The wheel trims and the license plate lights complete the distinction. The last survivor of the Mk 1 / Mk 2 line - she will not be retired until October 1969 - she is also the only Jaguar ever to have received a Daimler engine. Our right-hand drive model features a white body and a brown upholstery interior. The presented Daimler has its period car radio and a location for the sunroof. This is an interesting restoration base.
