Opening bid $1,500, no reserve, no bids yet 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Houston, Texas. Complete VIN on this car is J67P1F26162BW.
Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar 420 is being sold as a parts car. It is a complete car that you could restore but it would need a ton of work. The car is missing a battery and has therefore not been started. Several of the parts on this car can be very valuable to the buyer who takes the time to list them separately. There is strong demand amongst restorers and collectors for "original" parts. These parts would easily sell for over $5k if sold separately but we do not have that kind of time unfortunately. Additionally, this vehicle was purchased from a large collection and the title is still in transit. It may take several weeks for us to send out the title to the new buyer. Having said all that I will describe this Jaguar the best I can and suggest it be purchased for parts only.
The only item that looks to be missing is the rear bumper. The glass around the car is in excellent condition. All of the chrome looks to be present but almost all of it would require a strong polishing or refinishing. The chrome on the front bumper and hubcaps has some rust and pitting. The tires are rotted but will be good enough to get the car on and off the transport trailer. Most of the black interior is in poor shape from moisture damage, rips, etc. Most of the switches on the dash look usable (not functional). It looks like the Jaguar is equipped with rear air and the rear airbox looks to be in good shape from the side you can see from the trunk. There is an original tire jack and some random tire tools in the trunk. The engine looks complete but we have no way of testing to see if it cranks. All of the panels on this 420 are solid enough to be refinished. The headlights are in good shape. The Smith gauges are in good shape and the odometer is showing 26k. We have absolutely zero documentation or history on this vehicle.
