Ebay item 11/22/07 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-420-Sedan-Jaguar-420-Sedan-Rare-w-Air-Left-Hand-D ...
Current bid $1,075 reserve not met, 10 bids, 5 days left in auction. 34k miles.
Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar 420 Sedan, this vehicle was stored for over 10 years and is all original. This car is the same type that was revered by the illustrious "Sweeny Todd" of London's famous Scotland Yard Police force. The vehicle was fast, agile and picked for both dignitaries driving and high performance driving. I have seen several of these vehicles fully restored selling for $30,000 and up.
The car has almost all original stuff in it with maybe a few exceptions like the dual fule pumps, it is a rare model with factory power steering and air-conditioning. The paint, interior (including leather seats and wood finish) all seems to be original untouched or ruined by poor fixes. This will make a great restoration project for someone.
The engine has full compression on all cylinders and is running strong, the carbs need rebuilding and I have the kit which will be included in the sale price also the service manual and any other bits and pieces I have, best of luck in the bidding it is a great car project :o)

Car returns to ebay 7/13/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-420-1967-JAGUAR-RARE-420-LHD-4SPD-OD-CA-CAR-A-C-/ ...
Car has a buy it now price of $19,500 for 5 days. Car now said to be located in Port Monmouth, New Jersey.
Sellers description:
OPTIONS ON THIS CAR IS A/C MOUNTED IN THE REAR, PS AND CHROME WIRE WHEELS.
THE PREVIOUS OWNER PURCHESED THE CAR FROM HER HUSBANDS DEALERSHIP ON 01/13/86 WITH 38,723 MILES SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL PINK SLIP TITLE ISSUED ON 02/09/86 WITH THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER MATCHING THE CURRENT CA. PLATE ON THE CAR. THE LAST CA. REG. EXPIRED IN 12/94 AND THE CAR WAS PUT INTO A DRY GARAGE. WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 09/07 THE ODOMETER WAS 43,310. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT BACK EAST TO NEW JERSEY TO HAVE A MILD RESTORATION DONE.
SINCE THE CAR WAS A CA. CAR THERE WAS NO RUST ISSUES. WE STRIPPED THE ORIGINAL BRG PAINT TO BARE METAL AND USED PPG CONCEPT DCC SINGLE STAGE URETHANE BRG 4 COATS THEN COLOR SANDED AND BUFFED.
THE CHROME AND TRIM IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND NOT PITTED EXCEPT FOR THE REAR TAIL LIGHT HOUSINGS. I HAVE THE TRIM FOR THE FRONT AND REAR GLASS AND THE TRIM WILL BE INSTALLED BEFORE THE CAR LEAVES. THE FRONT AND REAR GLASS BOTH HAVE NEW RUBBER SEALS. NEW RUBBER SEALS WILL ALSO BE INSTALLED AROUND THE 4 DOORS AND TRUNK.
OTHER ITEMS EITHER REPLACED OR REBUILT WERE THE RADIATOR, BRAKE MASTER, BRAKE SERVO, CLUTCH MASTER, CLUTCH SLAVE, CARBS REBUILT, 2 NEW FUEL PUMPS AND BOTH GAS TANKS WERE REDONE WITH SENDING UNITS.
THE SEATS IN THE CAR ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION NO RIPS OR TEARS, THE REAR ARM REST IS DRY AND CRACKING AND THE DOOR PANELS SHOULD BE REPLACED. THEY ARE KIND OF COMING APART.
INSTRUMENTS WORK AND APPEAR TO BE ACCURATE EXCEPT FOR THE TEMP GAUGE WHICH APPEARS TO JUMP AROUND. I THINK IT MIGHT BE THE SENDING UNIT OR THE WIRE GOING TO THE UNIT BUT THE CAR DOES NOT RUN HOT OR OVERHEAT.
THE ENGINE STARTS WITH NO PROBLEMS ON THE ELECTRIC CHOKE, BUT SOMETIMES THE ELECTRIC CHOKE DOES NOT KICK OFF AT TEMP. EITHER REPLACE OR REPAIRTHE ELECTRIC UNIT OR WIRE A KILL TOGGLE SWITCH UNDER THE DASH. OIL PRESSURE READS AT LEAST 40 PSI AT 3000 RPM. A/C BELT IS DISCONNECTED BUT EVERYTHING IS THERE.
WE'VE BROUGHT THIS CAR BACK TO LIFE WHERE THE BODY LOOKS GREAT AND ALL SYSTEMS ARE OPERABLE. WE ARE NOT JAGUAR MECHANICS OR EXPERTS ON THIS PARTICULAR CAR SO WE ARE GOING TO LEAVE THE FINE TUNING & MINOR DETAILS TO THE NEW OWNER. AGAIN THIS CAR IS NOT A SHOW CAR IT IS A DRIVER THAT YOU CAN FINISH TO WHAT EVER LEVEL YOU WANT. ALL THE HARD WORK HAS BEEN DONE.
IF YOU HAVE EVER DRIVEN A 420 WITH THE STD SHIFT THE PERFORMANCE IS NIGHT AND DAY OVER THE AUTOMATIC VERSION.
THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE DRIVEN!! IT'S BEEN OFF THE ROAD TOO LONG!! PERFECT FOR RALLIES OR WHATEVER!!
