1967 JAGUAR 420 S Type 4 Door CLASSIC Sedan
For SALE is my Original and RARE CLASSIC*1967 Jaguar 420 S Type 4 Door Sedan.A perfect winter "Garage Find" Project Car with "Good Bones" and equipped with the Original classic 6 Cylinder 245 HP Double SU Carbureted Engine,4 Speed Standard Transmission,Air Conditioning,Leather interior,4 wheel Disc Brakes and original Wire wheels.I purchased this Car from an Old friend some time ago and simply have had No time to complete a needed Restoration due to time restraints and our now relocating with No additional Garage space.Car will Start,we have Drained Gas tank, replaced Filters, some fluids etc and Car is very much intact overall but will need Brake and Clutch upgrade and some minor Body work.Chrome and Original Interior is in Great shape as is most of the overall Body.Must SELL ~ Asking first $4900
Talked to owner and discussed the following - radio console is cut up so that under dash A/C could be installed. Door cards have some minor tears. Several of the grille vanes are slightly bent. LH front fender and door need some body work and paint. The owner had an estimate of $2000 to fix the paint and body on the door and fender.
From the chassis/VIN number this would make it the 3rd LHD 420 built. Most likely built in August 1966, need heritage certificate to confirm. It has European marker lights on front fender.

I looked this car over this afternoon. Its pretty solid, but very needy.
Not major accident damage that i could spot without digging to hard. Some minor rust showing in the front quarters behind the wheels. None of the doors fit well. Not sure if its minor bumps or production tolerances, but i have seen much better. At least one respray that is showing its age.
Block does not match data plate. Did not have time to dig into the block. Car has been of the road a long time. Header tank filled with rust. Vacuum pipe rotted away.
Heated rear window is a cool feature.
Seats were nice, but carpet/door panels were in poor condition.

This car DOES NOT have factory A/C. Factory A/C is a trunk mounted unit and controls above the heater controls
