"1966 JAGUAR 420 LAST OWNER 10 YRS & FITTED WITH WIRES Lot 27 Status NOT SOLD Estimate £4000 -5000 Mileage 103660 Colour BLUE Trim Colour BLUE Chassis No PIF1296BW Engine No 7F1547-8 Registration HRU185D CC 4235 M.O.T 18.9.2002 Introduced to replace the 'S' type with a new nose in 1966, the 420 saloons came with limited slip differentials and dual circuit brakes. They have always been the poor relation to the Mk2 saloons but are in fact extremely good cars to own and drive. This particular example has been in the present ownership for the last ten years during which time it has been kept in good garage conditions and is described as being in lovely condition throughout. It was repainted in 1988 and comes with wire wheels and the automatic three-speed transmission, which is coupled, to the 4.2 litre six-cylinder Jaguar engine. Good examples of these cars are difficult to find these days and this one is tested and taxed and ready to drive away from today's sale."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
