This 1967 Jaguar S-Type is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission equipped with electrically operated overdrive, and it is finished in yellow over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, an AM/FM/cassette radio, and four-wheel disc brakes, while modifications include rack-and-pinion steering, a newer-style starter, and three-point seatbelts. The car is said to have originally resided in California, where it was acquired by the seller in 2008. This S-Type 3.8 is now offered with an owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in yellow and it features a Jaguar leaper hood ornament, a waterfall grille, driving lights, and chrome bumpers and trim. Bubbling is noted on the bottom of the right-rear door.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are mounted on knock-off hubs and wear 185 HR 15 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. A full-size spare is located in the trunk, along with a tool kit. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes with inboard rear discs, and a rack-and-pinion steering system was installed in 2013.
The split front seats and the rear bench are upholstered in black leather, while wood trim adorns the dashboard, the center stack, and the top of the door panels. Equipment includes front and rear three-point seatbelts that were installed in 2008 as well as an AM/FM/cassette radio.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline and an inset analog clock, while an ammeter and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are located in the center stack above a set of rocker control switches. The five-digit odometer shows under 44k miles, approximately 6k of which were added by the seller.
The 3.8-liter inline-six was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 245 lb-ft of torque. The starter was replaced with a newer-style component in 2015.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically operated overdrive.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with service records.
