Jaguar S-type, doing business in style

On 17 May 1966, John P. Loughlin from Newark, New Jersey in the United States became the undoubtedly very happy owner of this stunning Jaguar S-type 3.8 automatic. He cherished this treasure for no less than 27 years.
Its second owner was Noble House, which bought the car on behalf of one of its clients. In 1993, the odometer read only 60,000 miles. The Jaguar was in a good, original condition and was ready for its 'second life'. The S-type's new purpose was being a company car on the congested roads of the Netherlands. In order to get a registration in the Netherlands, a lot of mechanical work was done on the car. Between 1994 and 2000, around 40,000 business miles passed under its lovely wire wheels. After this, the car was traded in at Noble House for another classic Jaguar.
Noble House once again carried out work on the S-type. Here, minor sheet metal work was done and the car was fully re-sprayed in its original colour. The interior was provided with brand new leather upholstery and new woodwork. Since receiving this treatment, and with a current odometer reading of 19,189 miles, the S-type is in excellent condition. Besides being the ideal hobbyists' car, this S-type - with its 3.8 engine and automatic transmission - would also be an ideal and particularly stylish company car. Its full service history is known as of February 1994.

Very nice. Which paint formula did you use?

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
