Repainted September 1996 with an engine rebuild at 189,700 miles in April, 1996, this car further features under-dash air conditioning, a new alternator, synthetic bushings in front and rear suspensions, a heavy-duty radiator, new brake master and servo unit, new stainless steel exhaust system, Power rack and pinion steering, Crane electronic ignition system, new shock absorbers, new clutch master cylinder and new drive shaft u-joints. Those who know what fine-driving cars the mid-1960s Jaguars are will appreciate not only the mechanical work performed but also the exquisite styling that bridged the gap between the Mark II and XJ6 as Jaguar's bread and butter luxury sports saloons.

This Jaguar 3.8S is a very well-maintained, excellent driver. Sporting a classic British racing green exterior, this 1965 3.8S Saloon has a black interior and a beautiful burl wood dash. It has a Jaguar Heritage Certificate indicating that it isa a numbers matching car, and the interior and exterior colors are correct. It is an original black plate California car currently located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The original delivery package, original workshop manual, and complete service records from new are included with the automobile. The engine was rebuilt at 189,700 miles, and the exterior was re-sprayed. The following upgrades have been made to enhance drivability: air conditioning, alternator, stainless steel exhaust, modern suspension bushings, drive shaft u-joints, rack and pinion power steering, Crain electronic ignition, heavy-duty aluminum radiator with electric fan, and new tires. All of the original parts have been preserved, and are available to return the car to the condition it was in upon leaving the factory.
