Sellers description:
Jaguar 3.8 S of 1965 with Borg Warner original delivery automatic transmission, with 57700 original miles. This car had received much mechanical work some years ago, and then stored until recently. That work consisted of a major service to the rear axle with new rear rotors , new caliper seals, new hand brake pads and major brake pads, and also new rotors on the front, with new pads, and new upper and lower ball joints. The interior was also done at that time with new covering for the front and rear seats and carpets. All the glass is in good unscratched condition. Currently, the car has had a new fuel pump installed on the left tank, both fuel tanks removed and flushed, the carbs have been gone over and new floats installed, new coil, plugs, cap and points, air filter, and much more. This is a solid and fast touring vehicle, running very solidly. The tires have much tread left but are not within the 7 year period of newness usually recommended. It shifts very strongly with no waiting between gear shifts, has a strong engine that does not smoke at all. All braking is strong and consistent. I do believe the mileage to be correct as indicated. The turn indicator works both left and right, but is lacking the neutral position currently. Perhaps just a spring and clip need to be replaced. The underside is quite clean with only minor imperfections at some of the leading edges. The dual exhaust system, which had been replaced more recently, gives this car that special warble only Jaguars can produce. The tool box is included, but is lacking the contents. Jack and knock-off hammer included. An original sales brochure is included, as well as several repair and maintenance books particular to the 3.8 S model.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
