Ebay item 1/10/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-1965-Jaguar-3-8s-Sports-Saloon-California-Body-No ...
Current bid $1,001, no reserve, 16 bids 1 day left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J65P1B76022BW
Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar 3.8S sports saloon. Chrome wire wheels. Left hand drive, automatic with Borg Warner Trans. This car was originally intended to be a donor car for a project I was working on. When I received the car I liked it very much and decided it was far too nice to be a donor. The guy that sold it to me had removed the interior intending to sell it for $700. Since I bought the car I bought the interior as well. Originally from California, a man from Indiana bought this Jag about 10 years ago and fully intended to restore it, but never got around to it. It then went to a prominent Jaguar enthusiast in Canada and then to me. The body is quite nice and virtually without rust but for some surface rust neglected on the left rear fender. Also some fine body work was done and now shows up in primer. Little dents were taken out and also some door damage was corrected 'cause the door jammed the trailer fender whilst removing the Jag from the trailer.
I bought the car without an engine or gearbox and have now found, and bought, what is believed to be, a correct engine for the car. The engine has all the ancillaries like: carbs and manifolds, starter, water pump, fan, distributor, exhaust manifolds, trans attached, etc. Basically it seems that ALL gizmos are on it. The engine WILL have to be overhauled. It wont run; bottom end damage. There are many odds and ends extra like a crankshaft, etc etc. The new buyer will get everything that I have received and have bought for the car.
This car should be virtually complete, but don't be surprised or mad at me if you find a few bits missing. This car would yield a very nice body with a fresh paint job that could would be hard to replace. Typical rust repair on these cars can cost many thousands of $$ The majority of these cars were rotted out 35 years ago. Its hard to find a nice body like this one---and at no reserve !!

Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar 3.8 S restomod, or at least that was what I was shooting for, when I started this project 5 years ago. I took a Solid Jaguar 3.8 S with a decent interior & decided to make the ultimate driving machine, these things handles great, but I always thought it could use a little more power,so I bought a complete running & driving 95 Jaguar XJ6 4.0 with a rebuild engine, removed Engine & Transmission etc & installed in the 3,8 S at the same time I was diagnosed with lung cancer which slowed me down quite a bit, got the cancer beat ,but are still not up to date, & I'm unable to finish this & other projects, so here is the chance to own a beautiful 65 Jaguar with modern technology. There is still a few things like the cooling system that need to be figured out some wiring, she is rust free but could use a coat of paint. if you check my other items you will see I also have a 67 Jaguar 3.8 S that is being Sold as parts. This Jag has a lot of potential its sports a decent set of wire wheels with Michelin red line tires dual exhaust & much more The Car is Solid. The Car is For Sale or Trade & The car is Sold as is. You are more than Welcome to come & check it out anytime.
