Car was at auction in 2022
bilwebauctions.se/en/sommarauktion-2022/jaguar-s-type-34-s-51197
Auction description:
The dashing first owner "see image" Mr Rumert and his English/Swedish wife attempted to purchase this car in Sweden in 1963, but after months of waiting for the Jaguar dealer to obtain this 3.4S, they gave up and went to plan B. They contacted Jaguar in Pacadiily London and asked for assistance in locating a left-hand-drive Jaguar; a few weeks later, Mr Massey of Jaguar called and then a cancelled order from Switzerland; the car was the 3.4S, Overdrive, knock-off wire wheels, multiband radio, limited slip diff, and LHD. The sale was confirmed, but at a much higher price due to the additions, for the grand total of £1630 and delivered to their London hotel. Before shipping the car from Germany to Gothenburg, they drove it around the south of France and raced Mercedes on the Autobahn. They appeared to have driven with English number plates for several years before being properly Swedish registered in 1968. The car was in the same family until the present owner purchased it six years ago and finished the renovation this year. The exterior was sturdy but had rust repairs in the lower wing edges and was totally repainted, the interior is all original with recolored leather, and the engine, gearbox, and axels were all tested. Since it took 6 years to complete, the owners believe it is a touch too good to drive now.

Interior condition:
The interior is beautiful, with all original trims, smith gauges, recolored leather seats, and flawless wooden detailing. Beautiful door cards, headliner, and carpets.
Exterior condition:
The bodywork only needs lower wing edges repaired before being completely repainted in metallic silver. This was finished in March to a high standard, with some small dust grains in the paintwork and no welding work in the floors. Nice chrome and glass work, as well as an excellent wire wheel and tyres.
General condition:
Wonderful looking car in excellent condition that is ready for its new owner; some photos may appear fuzzy because it rained cats and dogs during the photo shoot.
