Current bid $13,099 reserve not met, 12 bids 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $19,500.
Sellers description:
It is with reluctance I must sell my 1967 Mk II Jaguar, one of the best cars I've ever owned. It's completely dry underneath without that pesky dripping sometimes associated with older cars! It's a solid, Southern car that's never been out of a dry climate; never once driven on salty winter roads up North or anywhere else! It's really, truly, quite pristine. This is a very rare find for the next owner.
The Jag runs and drives as new. The exterior and interior wood, glass, rubber, seats, even the seat belts, have the look of a 1 year old vehicle, not a car approaching its 46th birthday! It's a pleasure to own, having no issues with the mechanical, wiring, suspension or any other aspects of "older vehicle" ownership. It really is like having a year-old Jag in the driveway or on the highway! It had about 24,000 miles on the odometer when I bought it over 10 years ago, and for a guy with 9 other vehicles, I've driven it quite a lot! It now shows 34,759 miles and I have no reason to doubt this is an actual reflection of the true mileage, amazing as that may be. It runs straight, true, firmly following the terrain around curves and over hills and valleys, and does so very quietly!
I have receipts and service records for the decade it's been in my care. I'm a car collector with a national reputation, having previously shown part of my collection of Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, Corvette, Ferrari and Aston Martin automobiles, even winning a first place trophy nationally at the Concours d'elegance with a '61 Rolls drophead coupe convertible. I currently own a vehicle on loan to and on display at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. In short, you're dealing with a highly qualified "car guy" who knows and understands good from mediocre, and this Jaguar is great. The truth is, my future is more attuned toward the pastoral life with horses, cows, and Mother Nature all around me. I have been there and done that, with respect to fine British auto collecting... and it was very enjoyable, but now I'm more into driving tractors, excavators and bulldozers around the ranch. That's just where we're at, so to speak, at this point in time. I think it's worth north of $35K but I'm willing to adjust to current national economic conditions. (Political thoughts deleted)
The car was (rather expensively, I think, at $10,000!) repainted in 2002, and has been stored every night inside a tight garage since then. It has suffered no dents or rust, whatsoever, and was only painted because the original paint had been polished completely through the primer to the bare metal in places!
It's a rare factory automatic model, delivered new to the Jaguar dealer in Brentwood, California, where we lived until 2003. I believe I am the 3rd owner of this fine automobile. Included in the sale are the original owner's manual, warranty certificate, and service coupon book. These are not duplication docs; they are as fitted in the glove box from day one. The pictures speak for themselves. Send your best appraiser or mechanic or come in person to inspect this car, over under and on the highway at any speed you choose, within reason. The speedo goes to 130 but I confess only to topping 90 a time or two (where I knew there was no radar)....it's a lovely car and I want the next owner to be as happy and proud of the vehicle as we've been this past ten years or so.
It's a pleasure to offer you the best 3.4 litre automatic factory original 1967 Jaguar you may ever see. It's 45 years old, so it isn't sitting on a new car showroom and it's not a trailer queen.
I drove this car from Los Angeles to Ft. Worth/Dallas in 2003, with my wife and cat aboard. The car has never, to my knowledge, carried a live cigar or cigarette onboard, as evidenced by the perfect ash tray... and if you smoke, and you should be the winning bidder, please consider smoking only after this car is safely parked at least ten feet from your toxic waste. ;)
I urge you to come to Texas and drive this car! I will help you arrange shipping but I would feel comfortable driving this car anywhere on the continent; it's fully serviced and ready to go. If you'd buy me the return ticket and pay expenses, I'll bring it to you! That's how confident I am in this Mark 2 Jaguar! If you'd like to speak with the mechanical technician who's cared for it since about 2003, his name is Mr. Jeff Sloan, President of British Auto Works (listed in Haltom City, Texas). He just inspected the car from stem to stern, drove it on the highway, and adjusted a few small things, and can give you his word about the condition!

1967 JAGUAR MK2
THIS CAR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.
3.4 LITER ENGINE
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
ODOMETER READS 44333
AIR CONDITIONING
CD PLAYER
RACK AND PINION STEERING
STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST SYSTEM
THIS CAR IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION, IT HAS BEEN WELL KEPT THROUGHOUT ITS LIFETIME. YOU WILL SEE JUST A PORTION OF THE RECEIPTS FOR THE CAR IN THE PICTURES.
THIS VEHICLE WAS A CALIFORNIA CAR THAT WAS OWNED FOR MANY YEARS BY A FAMOUS COMEDIAN FROM "THE LAUGH IN SHOW" IN THE 60'S. IN LATER YEARS SHE MOVED TO TEXAS AND TOOK THE CAR WITH HER. THE CAR WAS GARAGED IN TEXAS FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 YEARS. I PURCHASED THE MK2 IN 04/2012 AND BROUGHT IT BACK TO SO CAL.
I SPEND A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT AND MONEYTO FRESHEN UP THIS GREAT MK2. WE DROPPED THE OIL PAN ON THE TRANSMISSION AND DISCOVERED IT HAS BEEN REBUILT AND A LIGHT SHIFT KIT HAS BEEN INSTALLED. WE INSTALLED A NEW STAINLESS EXHAUST SYSTEM -- IT TRULY PURRS LIKE A CAT, IT SOUNDS GREAT.
WE INSTALLED NEW POLY BODY MOUNTS ALL AROUND, REBUILT THE RADIATOR, INSTALLED ALL NEW TIRES, CONVERTED THE GENERATOR TO AN ALTERNATOR. IT HAS ALL NEW BRAKE CYLINDERS AND PADS. THE STEERING BOX HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A RACK AND PINION STEERING FOR GREATER HANDLING.
THE CAR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT IS NOT EXACTLY NEW, IT HAS NORMAL, DON'T EXPECT TO BE PURCHASING A 2014 JAGUAR, BUT IT IS ONE OF THE NICEST REPRESENTATIONS OF A 1967 MK2 YOU WILL SEE.
THE EXTERIOR PAINT IS IN GREAT SHAPE, AND HAS VERY FEW SMALL SCRATCHES OR CHIPS. THE INTERIOR IN IN EXCELLENT SHAPE EXCEPT FOR THE FELT ON THE BACKS OR BOTTOMS OF THE SEATS, THE FELT NEEDS SOME TLC OR REPLACING.
THE CAR RUNS EXCELLENT, START UP EVERYTIME, RUNS VERY STRONG AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTH. THIS IS A GREAT CAR. BID WITH CONFIDENCE.
THE CHROME IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE ON THE CAR, SEE ALL THE PICTURES. 100+ PICTURES BELOW.
I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR OVER 10,000 MILES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS AND HAVE HAD A GREAT TIME DRIVING IT. IT IS A CAR THAT GETS LOOKS AND A THUMBS UP EVERY DAY. WHETHER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DAILY DRIVER OR A COOL WEEKEND CRUISER, THIS IS YOUR CAR.
