    Ebay item 10/1/09
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-1967-420G-4-Speed-w-O-D-German-Car_W0QQitemZ17038 ...
Opening bid $3,500, no reserve, no bids yet 9 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
This 1967 420G is a fully matching number car in British Racing Green with a tan interior. It has the desirable synchromesh 4 speed gearbox with electronic overdrive. It has the E-type 4.2 engine in it with the tri-carb set up. The car has the posi traction rear end, heated rear window and the column key lock option. You couldn't get any more options on this car if you wanted to. The engine turns freely and the car only has 16,000 kilometers on it. It has been in the U.S. since 1990. The car has gone down the Autobahn in Germany and still has the German dealer tag on the back which is Peter Lindner, Frankfurt-Wiesbaden. The car naturally is in kilometers. The body number is 4D55466, the engine number is 7D55552-8 and the gearbox number is JZN1016. This car would be great for restoration or if you have a D-type or C-type kit car that you need a donor for, this would be perfect. The car rolls and steers for ease of shipping.

    Car returns to ebay 8/15/12
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-1967-Mark-X-Sedan-Built-Europe-4-Spd-Manual-/1708 ...
Car has a buy it now price of $4,500 for 5 days.

    Sellers description:
This 1967 Mark X is a very rare car as it has the speedometer set up in kilometers from the factory. The car originally from new was dispatched to Germany. As you can see it has the small side ligths on the body and it has the larger European headlights. It came from the factory with the manual 4 speed overdrive gearbox. It has a few unique features, such as the key ignition switch is on the column and it has the roll up windows. Most of these Mark Xs went to the U.S. and they had the automatic transmission with power windows. The cars numbers all match the commission plate from Jaguar. There is also a plate with the information for the original dispatch (in German). The engine turns freely and the car rolls and steers so it can be easily trasported. Obviously the car needs a total restoration or could be used for a parts car to convert your U.S. version of the car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
