Sellers description:
I am selling my 1961 Jaguar MK 9 Saloon. I purchased the car from the original owner over 20 years ago. The car was originally purchased new in France while the original owner was on vacation there. He used the car as transportation while on vacation and had the car shipped home with him to the US. The car is heavily documented. I have the original owners manual, original Jaguar Factory Warranty document, Original maintenance book, Original Lube chart, Jaguar dealer issued map of France, and numerous registrations, and maintenance documents. The car even has the original French Lic. plate, and Jaguar French ID tag under the hood.

When I purchased the car it had been parked in a garage for many years. The car appears to be VERY complete. I removed the fuel tanks to repair a few small pin holes and the radiator to have it re cored but due to my busy work schedule and later health issues, removing them was as far as I got on the restoration. The car has not been on the road in 25+ years, I do not know the mechanical condition of the motor other than it spins freely and is not sized.

There were just over 900 of these cars produced in 1961 in left hand drive so its a fairly rare car. I have attached a photo of the NADA price guide on the car showing its value between $37,500 and $70,300 depending on condition. And given documentation and history with this car, I'm sure it would fetch a good deal more than that.

The interior is all original and will need to be replaced. The paint is in ok shape and would be very respectable as a "driver". The only rust I have found on the car is a small hole in the firewall, behind the battery tray. The car is located in Norco, Ca.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
