Opening bid $1,600, no bids yet 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This 1959 Jaguar MK 9 Saloon was recovered from the dry southern California climate and relocated in the beautiful deep south state of Alabama. I trailered this fine 1959 Jaguar MK IX project car from California with the intention of restoring it to its original elegance. However, a severe fall injury prevents me from finishing this and several other restoration projects. This car is solid with a little surface rust where the paint has baked from the Cali sun. The paint has oxidized to the primer in spots. The engine starts and runs, but the head gasket needs replacing. Rebuild kit included. Transmission works fine. This car has the original rare bucket front seats in restorable condition. All the wood is there but needs restoring due to exposure to hot sun. All metal panels are solid. This is a complete car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
