Outstanding original condition. Car has been repainted by me in 1998. Carpets renewed also.
Evering else is unrestored incl. woodwork, seats & headlining.
All body panels show on the inside the inscription "Show Car". As the car has been dispatched to Garage Place Claparède in Geneva on feb.25th57 and sold on april.9th57 I believe that it has been on the Jaguar stand of the Geneva Show during 14.-24.march 1957.
The first owner, a banker in Geneva named Alex Chauvet, kept a very detailed personal service book from 1. July 1937 until 1957 for his La Salle, then for the Mk VIII.

Total Mileage until today 82'500 Km.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
