Ebay item 8/16/09

Current bid $2,350 reserve not met, 36 bids auction ended. 66k miles.

Sellers description:
This 1959 Jaguar Mark IX hasn't seen daylight in 28 years. This car has been stored indoors on a cement floor in Oklahoma for 28 years. As you can see the car needs total restoration but is a great start. Car appears to be complete. Wood dash is in great shape for a 50 year old Jag. Wood is not separating and is solid. The body is solid with some areas starting to swell and bubble (see pic) Trunk is in great shape, floors are solid except one spot on edge of left front pan, rockers are solid. Engine is complete, new radiator. The engine is NOT locked up and does turn over using the starter. Previous owner stated car ran great but developed and electrical problem, he parked it and never got around to fixing it. Looks like some mice may have gotten into the engine wiring also but not under the dash, it looks good. Expect to do some rewiring or replacement of the engine harness. Looks like the car was repainted once in the past...mediocre job imho. Car has sunroof, power steering and what appears to be cruise control. As you can see this is a right hand drive Jag with telescopic steering wheel and original radio. Glass is all good. All chrome and trim appear to be present. Lots of good options on this car, I hate to sell her but I have too many projects. Great survivor car. Comes with a new front bumper too. Stone deflector and Fog lamps come with the car also. Still has original Lucas headlights. Original trunk liner and spare tire. No jack. Clear title. Car is sold as is, where is.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
