Details
Offered here is a late MK IX, which has been in the vendors ownership for 10 years and has, during that time, benefited from serious body and mechanical works. This has included restoration of the bodywork with new metal, where required and a full repaint in Cornish grey over mist grey. The brakes have been overhauled and the fronts were also uprated, suspension, fuel system and cooling system overhaul. The 3.8 XK engine was rebuilt and uprated by VSE in Wales and a new, four speed, automatic transmission was fitted by Graham Whitehouse. The car was then equipped with new oil coolers.
Now resplendent with its new paintwork and very usable with its uprated engine and modern transmission, the car retains an original interior, with the exception a new headlining and refurbished woodwork and is said to be in excellent condition ( 9 out of 10). The car is said to drive very well and is quite happy in modern traffic, with its four speed transmission, power steering and powerful XK engine.
Offered complete with extensive history and a boot full of spares, conservatively valued at £500.
Estimate £14000-16000
