The recipient of an extensive restoration, this Mark IX Saloon presents elegantly in a regal two-tone finish of dark blue over gray, complemented by a dark blue leather interior. Beneath its long hood is Jaguar’s esteemed double-overhead-camshaft 3.8-liter inline six-cylinder engine, which has been confirmed to retain its original cylinder head. Attesting to the exceptional quality of its restoration and the meticulous care it has received since, the Jaguar won the Antique Automobile Club of America Grand National award in 2017 and the Senior Grand National award in 2018. In 2023, Empire Automotive in Kansas City, Kansas overhauled the carburetors and fuel tanks and adjusted the clutch linkage. An invoice for the work is on file, along with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate.
Jaguar’s Mark IX, with its powerful performance, advanced brakes, and striking design, excels in vintage touring and concours displays, making this AACA Senior Grand National winner a captivating sight for enthusiasts and spectators alike.
