www.carandclassic.com/auctions
Seller's description:
1961 Jaguar MkIX
Colour Multicolour
Odometer 83,492 Miles
Engine size3800
Seller TypePrivate
Town Meuse
Country France
In the hands of the current owner since 2013
Fully restored by a previous owner, documented in a copy of "Jaguar Driver" and won a competition shortly afterwards
Used sparingly and well maintained since restoration
This 1961 MkIX has the 3.8-litre XK in-line six under the bonnet, coupled to disc brakes, power steering, power brakes and a smooth three-speed automatic gearbox. The seller says it drives almost like a new car - which we can well believe. We are informed that he acquired the Jaguar in Ireland in 2013, prior to which it had undergone a full restoration in the UK.
The restoration was reportedly documented in a copy of Jaguar Driver magazine and the car went on to win an award for the quality of the work carried out.
Since its arrival and registration in France, the vendor tells us that the Jaguar has needed little more than routine servicing, a few repairs and some localised paintwork. Delivered with an MOT valid until 2029, it is ready to delight its future owner.

XK DOHC 3.8-litre in-line six-cylinder engine
Borg Warner DG three-speed automatic gearbox
Everything under the bonnet is in immaculate condition

The vendor comments that it drives "almost like a modern car" thanks to its disc brakes, automatic gearbox, power steering and energetic DOHC engine.
