Ebay item 6/20/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1959-Jaguar-Mark-IV-/200935984845
Opening bid $10,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction. 54k miles.

Sellers description:
1959 Jaguar Mk IV
This car runs and drives good. The clutch is starting to slip a little. It is not showroom condition but is in good overall condition. She Is equipped with a four speed manual transmission with over drive, moon roof, and four wheel disk brakes. It has the original 3.8 liter dual over head cam straight six along with right hand steering. It has newer paint and interior.

The brake lights are not working, and there is one spot I have pictured where you can see some of the rust under the paint on the passenger side, other than that the paint is good. There is some rust on the rocker panels and fender wells underneath the car.

Very Important:
I forgot to add, My Dad had to file for lost title and had to have it inspected by the WA state patrol. We got the paperwork to get it registered but have to wait for a title for three years in the state of WA. The paper work given by the D.O.L. here is transferable in WA. I don't know about other states.

Car returns to ebay 5/7/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1959-Jaguar-Other/282954695131
Current bid: $5,701 reserve not met 9 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller 34bud, car now said to be in Colbert, Washington, 50k miles.

Sellers description:
We bought this wonderful car for our business as a prop to use in Weddings and other events including many photo shoots and media coverage we have now retired and have no need for it.
The story we got was it was owned by a US official deployed over seas and he brought it back to the USA when retiring and in the 90s had it restored. When he passed his family put the car for sale. Obviously he spent thousands to restore. fast forward 25 years after restore this is what we have. Very well kept inside storage. Looks like all new glass new chrome everywhere/ New door seals leather upholstery and on and on. This is an older restoration but very presentable. We have had years of fun with this but need to sell. We have driven this only for events so under 100 miles since ownership. Maintained very well last year new clutch assembly{ under 10 miles}
Odometer says 50,000
Runs very well transmission has overdrive that works well
This car is very detailed and well taken care of.
This car is far from perfect but much better than average
Trunk does not lock Tachometer does not work aftermarket stereo added sounds good may be some other small things but this is a very sound car.

Engine- Runs like a sewing machine clean with no leaks

Transmission- Manual 4 speed with overdrive(new clutch assembly)

Interior- Leather very presentable Factory sunroof

Tires & wheels- Tires are Goodyear wide whites bias ply look like new/ wheels are powder coated.

Cars like this don't come up very often we know the values but are so very fair with our reserve and reserve is lower than low book. Don't have to sell but its been sitting for a couple years now and would like to see it enjoyed. I have never taken it on the highway but would not worry seems very tight just different with right hand drive

This 1959 Jaguar MK IX is a right-hand-drive example that is said to have been purchased new in England and imported to California by the original owner. The car was acquired by the seller out of Washington state in 2018, reportedly from its second owner, and subsequently relocated to Michigan. It is finished in two-tone gray and white over gray leather and is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes, a sunroof, woodgrain interior trim, rear seat picnic tables, and a cassette radio. Work performed during current ownership included fluid changes, overhauling the brakes, and replacement of the fuel pump, distributor rotor and points, coil wire, and mufflers. This Jaguar MK IX is offered with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.

The car was refinished in two-tone gray and white during previous ownership and features chrome-finished bumpers and trim, auxiliary lights, fender-mounted mirrors, and a sunroof.

Steel 16″ wheels have been powder coated black and wear polished covers and beauty rings along with Goodyear whitewall tires. Work performed in 2018 included replacement of the calipers, pads, and rotors at all four corners.

The right-hand-drive cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in cream leather with black piping, matching door panels, black carpets, and woodgrain trim on the dashboard and doors. Equipment includes a Craig cassette radio, rear picnic tables, and a fold-down rear armrest.

The telescoping four-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, water temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 51k miles, 400 of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.

The 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six produced 220 horsepower when new. The seller states that the carburetors have been overhauled, and work performed in 2018 included fluid changes and replacement of the fuel pump, distributor rotor and points, coil wire, and mufflers. The car is equipped with dual fuel tanks, and the tank on the passenger-side is leaking. A spare fuel pump is included in the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

Manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and a model car are included in the sale.
