Opening bid US $10,100, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller fuzzydicecars, car now said to be in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, 21k miles.
Note, seller provided numbers are not all correct, the car was ID'd by matching details in photos.
Sellers description:
1954 Jaguar Mark II Salloon sedan.
This particular example is all original and in fine driver quality. Recently painted with the original English White finish. The all steel body and underside are rust and damage free. (Photos of the underside are available upon request) The chrome is very presentable and in some areas a bit dull. The all around glass and fits are very presentable. The mascots are original and do show some pitting. Also some pitting on the chrome lens surrounds. All the windows and wind wings open and close smoothly. The sunshine roof opens freely. Still has bias ply tires and the original wheels.
The interior is gorgeous and original. The plush leather seating and walnut dash and trim show almost like back in 1954. The carpeting, door panels, headline, moon roof and gauge package are all excellent. The seats and dash are original and the door panels appear new but certainly period correct. The carpeting is also newly installed. Only other items not original to the car are and after market radio and a temperature gauge. Not presently functioning are the tachometer and the clock. Both gasoline tanks are performing as they should.
The trunk pan and remaining floors are excellent. All the original jacking tools are intact along with a matching spare tire and wheel.
Under the hood you will find the original or at least period correct motor and also the original drive train and four speed transmission.
The Jag is powered by 3.4 Ltr overhead cam 6 cylinder motor that develops 162 horse power. The transmission is a 4 speed with overdrive and of course reverse. All gears shifts effortlessly. The motor shows no leaks nor blow back and runs quiet and strong.
I personally drove this beauty 50 miles back to our facility. She drove strong, smooth and straight down the highway. At one point I was cruising at 65 miles and hour at half pedal. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance.
The VIN # 028267, Body # R3372R, Engine # 7B560349 and the Gear Box number is JL31186.
