Sellers description:
1954 Mark 7 Jaguar. Due to health reasons and some doctor bills I am having to give up on this beauty which with a couple more weeks of work will be ready for show. I drove here around the block last week 6 times. Straight on. Actually she could show and do well now. Has been driven for only about an hour on the rebuilt engine. The list of replacement parts and overhauls is quite long but includes: Rebuilt engine by Paladin Autoworks in Seattle Washington. Painted by Shadowflight in Seattle about 4 years ago....lots of clear coat. PPG base coat. BAS Ltd Vancouver, Canada provides the leather and wool interior to OEM specs and imported Connally leather used throughout. Mechanics: Brake Cylinders, Master and Servo by White Post Restorations Engine, dash and trunk harnesses new by Rhode Island Wiring to original specs. Overhauled rear end by Northwest Transmission. New front windshield and wipers. New body rubber XK's Unlimited. All suspension rubber replaced with new and suspension parts blasted and repainted. Undercoating applied and floor coated in POR15. Complete trunk kit replaced with new including spare tire cover. BAS Ltd. Radiator bored and cleaned and serviced. New electronic fuel pumps. Fuel tanks tight and perfect. All chrome was re-chromed except window frames which are fine. Chrome by Art Brass Plating in Seattle. New Interstate battery courtesy of NAPA. Exhaust manifolds ceramic by Parkys Porcelain. Wood dash and door trim refinished except to keep original antique look, the dash was only varnished to maintain original color and stain. Overhauled transmission but needs adjusting and leeks probably due to inactivity. Overhauled drive shaft and universal joints. New shocks and rear leaf springs XK's Unlimited. $600 Lots of spare parts included another set of lower profile radial black wall tires with same green painted rims, chrome beauty rings, washer bottle, bolts nuts and hardware, fuel tank, instruments, hoses, bushings, and original radio, plus a spare DG250 transmission if you want to sell it to a Studebaker guy.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
