Ebay item 7/26/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1951-Jaguar-Mark-VII-MK-7-104th-LHD-Early-Rare-Car-/2208 ...
Opening bid $2,500, no bids 5 days left in auction. 28k miles.

Sellers description:
Very early Jaguar Mark VII sedan with standard transmission and bucket seats. This car is number 104 of the left hand drive series, and has features I have never seen before. It has studless front cam covers, shared with early XK-120's, as well as bugle style Lucas Horns, a nickel plated Special Equipment generator (will clean up beautifully), a Moss 4 speed gear box, a complete mannette, Cheney clamps, complete and unmolested H6 SU carburettors with AED, propellor style fan, a folding bonnet support rod (first I have seen in 44 years of Jaguar diddling), complete radiator, brass grille shell, brass waist trim, complete drivetrain, brakes, clutch hydraulics, glass brake fluid reservoir, center drawer (drawer slides are there), good headlamps and rims, good foglamps and rims, complete instruments and switches (including the right ignition key and door lock keys). Even the gaiters are still on the rear springs.

This car is a treasure trove of parts and information, the engine bay is complete and original. If you are are restoring a Mark VII, buy this as a guide. If you are really courageous, restore this car! All of the repair panels are available and I could help you locate other sheet metal pieces.

This very early car was dismantled and many of the parts were sold. The engine and transmission and data plate are still available for sale.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
