Current bid US $22,500 reserve not met, 1 bid 6 days left in auction, seller sueum_7, 88k miles.

    Sellers description:
Offered for sale is my 1951 Jaguar Mark V dhc. I have completed a frame-off restoration of this beautiful collector motorcar. Only 577 drophead coupes were built and only a few remain.
The car was completely disassembled and dipped in acid bath. All rusty body panels were repaired with new metal. Interior wood veneer was hand-crafted in South Africa. A BAS interior was professionally installed as well as a new padded top. The 3.5 liter push rod engine was also disassembled and rebuilt including new pistons, bearings, gaskets and seals. The wiring harness was replaced and the instruments rebuilt as well as the complete braking system. The numbers match and the car comes with a cover, manuals and many spare parts. This motor car is truly a sight to behold and would be a handsome addition to any collection. You are welcome to come to Tampa to view it.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
