Hi, great to have it here and great car, thanks for posting! There are probably some misundertstandings in the colours, your interior is not Suede Green, but some kind of Blue, the "Pale Blue" that was original on my car is very much like grey, not that dark and not so much blue as your car now has. Also the "hood" (convertible top) obviously is not Black now, but something they would call "Fawn" or "Sand" in English, I think. Best wishes, Pekka T. Dear monsieur Beaurain,

Thank you, yes I do not try to be a wise guy, but this site can be a great resource. Over the years I have seen many common small mistakes, and because old B&W photos do not show any colour, I have grown a great interest in original colours. FWIW I do have original factory colour samples (a booklet of leather samples with the Connolly codes) for both early and late 1950's in case some things need to be compared, as the JHT certificate will only tell you what it was called at the time, not what it looks like. We have talked with Roger about perhaps adding more resouces, like interior colours to the site someday. Yes, add another language, like French, Finnish or Italian would call it something else and then we get lost. Nevermind, take care, a great car! Cheers!

PS. We haven't met, have we? (I get around a bit, I have been at various JDCS, JAG, JDCH and English events in the past 15 years... ;)

Dear Telivuo,
We haven't met yet, as I only bought this car last May 2012 ! But I hope to meet you one day to talk about these lovely cars. I am a member of F.J.D.C. here in France and plan to visit Beaulieu this summer ...
Cheers, Michel

Dear monsieur Beaurain,

I am sorry, but did not remember to contact you when I had the chance to visit Le Mans Classic last year (2016), but our scedhule was quite tight and I was unfortunately not traveling with a Jaguar. :) But I hope to do that again with more time next summer (2018) and will also try to write a letter to the other FJDC, and I am the president of the FJDC in Finland. ;) My MKV drives very well now, but the body wold need a new paint, the previous one is a touched up job form the early 1980's. Also I hope we will be in Stoneleigh, UK, next March (2018). Cheers, Pekka T.
