Sellers description:
1950 Jaguar Mark V Drophead Coupe. Jaguar databases make it very difficult to research body/chassis numbers before 1980. The body and chassis numbers are pictured above. After much research we have determined that the above vehicle is a 1950 Mark V Drophead Coupe left-hand drive and originally was a 3.5 liter. The vehicle is being sold without an engine. With the car comes a Jaguar 4-speed that is the original transmission, the number on the shift cover is JH 2323. The gauges are in a box and the odometer reads 45405, however true mileage is unknown. Some sources show 550 of these built, others show 972. Regardless, it is clear that this is a very rare car. Restored these cars are bringing well over $100,000. We have boxes of additional parts that go along with the vehicle. The seats are also believed to be original, but will need to be restored.
The frame has been cleaned and repainted and the fuel tank has been restored. Buyers beware, this vehicle is in need of a complete restoration. It has been in storage for quite some time. There is some rust on the car, including the floor pans. Also, some of the wood pieces show signs of rot.
The car is located in Dawsonville, Georgia and is available for inspection by appointment. By law Georgia will not issue a title on any vehicle over ten years old. Therefore, the vehicle will be sold with a bill of sale only.
This vehicle is being sold as a restoration project. It is being sold "as-is" and no warranty is implied or expressed.
