Restored to a very good standard
Manual gearbox with overdrive
Originally registered on 9th February 1951 this beautiful Jaguar has been restored to a very good standard by the previous vendor. The current owner is a fastidious, knowledgeable classic car enthusiast and he has ensured this Mk. V Drophead Coupé presents in fabulous condition. We are advised the 3½ litre engine runs extremely well and the manual gearbox operates as it should. During the restoration an overdrive unit was fitted to enhance the smoothness of the car on the open road. The bodywork is finished in Old English White and has a very good depth to the paint and appears to be protected with an inch of polish! The red leather interior is unmarked, with seats akin to your favourite armchair. The deep rich burr walnut, of which there is plenty, is also in good order. Supplied with a V5C registration document, together with the original buff logbook confirming that NKM 645 has been on this Jaguar since new. This genuine right hand drive Drophead Coupé also has a complete toolkit and a workshop manual. This classic motorcar from Jaguar’s heyday is in good order throughout and represents the very spirit of motoring. Viewing in person is recommended to fully appreciate the quality of this very rare example.

Seller's description:
Jaguar Mk V, 3.5 Litre, Year of manufacture 1951, Chassis number 640114
1951 Jaguar Mark 5 three position Drophead
Chassis number: 640114
Registration Number: NKM645
Nut & bolt restored to as new perfection. This rare 3.5 litre drophead is in simply superb condition & indicates 14,000 miles covered since it was restored.
The car is finished in flawles old english white to the exterior. Inside are new red hides to all seating surfaces & beautifully figured burr walnut to the dash board. A full tool kit is found in situ in its appointed place in the fold open boot lid.
The car drives as well as it looks with the powerful 3.5 litre six cylinder engine affording ample perfomance. The engine bay needless to say is highly detailed & immaculate like the rest of the car.
These are very versatile cars with spacious seating for 4 people. The black mohair roof is easily lowered for alfresco summer motoring. When less clement just the front portion may be rolled back allowing for sedanca style motoring.
Masses of bills come with the car as does an original instruction manual & a well stamped buff log book.
This is a car that needs nothing & is in just superb order ready for imediate extended use.
