Sellers description:
1950 Jaguar Mark V. This car is about 90%+ complete. I say 90% because the car runs but not with the gas tank that is with the car, the fuel in it has solidified. We were able to get it running with an auxiliary tank. Runs very well. It will need a new fuel pump and tank. The carburetors will need rebuilt but we have the kit for that. The interior needs reassembled but all the parts are there. Also the front cowl and radiator are off but we have those also. This is definitely a unique car. Its right hand drive, it has a manual sunroof, suicide doors. Would make a nice restoration or a great street rod. It's a nice solid car. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at I just got word that the brakes will need replaced. but again that goes with the car being 90% complete.

I purchased this car in May, 2007 from a gentleman who was in the process of restoring it. It was my intention to complete the restoration and add it to my collection of Jaguars. It has been in storage inside a building since I purchased it. I have decided I have too many projects and need to reduce my inventory,

The car is right hand drive. The exterior of the car has been repainted a two tone gray. The interior is tan. The seats have been re-upholstered in leather. The wood trim has been refinished, and the interior panels have been redone. The interior, with the exception of the seats, will need to be reinstalled, but all the parts are present. I have not driven the car. I was told by the man from whom I purchased it, that the mechanicals are in good shape and the engine runs well. He did tell me that the carburetors need to be rebuilt, and that the fuel tank and fuel pump need to be replaced. A carburetor rebuild kit is included in the sale. Also the bonnet, front cowl and radiator need to be reinstalled. They were off the car when I bought it to give the seller better access to the engine compartment. The previous owner said that the restoration was about 90% complete.

The car shown is right hand drive but the chassis number given is for a left hand drive car. It would be nice to clear up that discrepancy with a confirmation of the stamped chassis number on the left hand chassis rail at the master cylinder mounting bracket.

Beautiful and charming 1951 Jaguar MKV sedan! 3 1/2 L straight 6, 4-speed manual, RHD, all original drivetrain with matching numbers, very very solid, etc. This MK5 runs and drives fantastic, and has had loads of recent work and new parts installed. All new hoses, brakes overhauled, new exhaust, new headliner, new carpets, new door panels, etc. This MKV has been repainted once beofre, and the paint is currently in fair condition with a few blemishes. No signs of this beauty ever been in any accidents. Tools are missing. Clean title in hand. The rust spot pictured underneath is not on the frame, but rather the inner body. This car appears to have been originally a USA specification LHD without semifore trafficators, and was converted from LHD to RHD some time in its earlier history. Note the cover plate on the left hand scuttle where there would normally be a hole for a LHD steering column.
