    Auctino description:
    Jaguar MKV Saloon
Exceptional Motor Cars, Christies (5th June 2005)
    Overview
Fastidiously restored by the previous custodian, the condition throughout is described as extremely good, in fact the only minor complaint noted was that the tool kit was incomplete. The exterior is painted in the typically-period choice of light gray and the interior is trimmed in brown leather throughout and both aspects are reported to be without fault. So rarely restored, MkVs are seldom found in this condition and the example we offer here is certainly one of the best to be found

Opening bid $20,000 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Miami Beach, Florida. Sold at above auction for $ 38,500.

    Sellers description:
An Absolutely Stunning example of a 1950 Jaguar Mark V Saloon with only 15950 Actual miles. It even still shows actual mileage on the title. The original 3.5 Liter 6-cylinder engine runs silky smooth and powerful and the 4-Speed manual transmission shifts nicely throughout all gears. Power steering has been upgraded for effortless turning. A real pleasure to drive.

This Jaguar has been restored to a high quality level. The body is laser straight and rust free. The Cornish Gray Jaguar paint has a deep mirror like, show quality finish with very few imperfections if any at all. The Chrome bumpers, grill and trim show like new.

The interior is also show quality having rich, supple chocolate brown leather hides, prestigious woodwork, Classic Moto-Lita steering wheel with tilt column, two-toned square weave carpeting and wilton wool headliner.

Tastefully added modifications include power steering, power door locks with remote and a Pioneer touch screen stereo/CD with navigation and back-up camera.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
