Current bid $5,766 reserve not met, 12 bids 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1948 Jaguar MK-V Saloon which is a good candidate for a complete restoration. The car is mostly complete and original. It has its original 3.5 liter engine, manual transmission and sunroof. The car has spent most of its life in New Mexico and the body and frame of the car is very straight and solid. It is very complete with most of the chrome, glass, seats and gauges. It even has the original jack. The car has been sitting for a long time and no attempt has been made to start the car. Frame of the car is very solid and rust free. Outer riggers are also solid. Sheet metal is straight and rust free. Engine seems to be complete. Dashboard is complete with all gauges. Overall this is a solid Jaguar MK V saloon and a good car for a complete restoration. More pictures are available.

Car has a clear title and other documents for export.
(The car is standing in College Point NY 11356 - which is about 20 minutes east of New York City.)

This early MKV plate did not have a field for the gearbox which had apparently a separate plate. Also I notice the shifter stick looks odd, but the engineroom, early type heater and everything seems to be there. maybe someone just wanted a taller stick to shift with?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
