Bought by the present owners in Shepparton, Victoria approximately 20 years ago, this stylish Jaguar Mark V was comprehensively refurbished and is now in excellent condition throughout. The black on silver paint presents very nicely and the interior has been recently retrimmed in attractive pale grey vinyl upholstery. The carpets, headlining and timber are all in very good condition and the exterior chrome is good as well. Mechanically, the Jaguar has been overhauled and as part of a small collection of wedding vehicles, has been kept in perfect working order. To be sold registered in New South Wales until October 2009, the car is showing 85,099 miles on the clock.

The interior looks as if it could be "Pale Blue" Regards, Pekka T. MKV DHC 647194

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
