Car to be at auction 10/08
www.coys.co.uk/auctions/ascot-0810/327.php

Auction description:
1950 Jaguar Mk V Saloon
Registration Number: JF0 225 Chassis Number: 624732

Built for the British market originally and supplied by Jack Olding & Co Ltd of North Audley Street, Mayfair, this example was later exported to the United States early in its life and it has certainly benefited from the clement American weather. It was then discovered in 1988 by the current owner and repatriated to Britain, since when it has been run and maintained on a regular basis. This well proportioned Jaguar forms part of a fascinating collection of sports and touring car dating back from the present day to the turn of the century. Complete with a current MoT test certificate, road fund licence and V5 registration document, this rare and much underrated touring saloon looks good from every angle.

Estimate
£16,000-£22,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
