1950 Jaguar MkV 3.5-Litre Saloon
Collectors' Motor Cars, Bonhams (10th September 2005)
Overview
This right-hand drive MkV saloon was manufacture in June 1950 and despatched for sale via distributor Brinkman’s, of Singapore to first owner H S Gavin. The car returned to the UK at some time during the 1950s and was given the Coventry registration mark ‘JKV 969’. Old tax discs dating from 1956 to 1967, and an AA inspection certificate (dated 1963, at 25,000 miles) come with it. The car was put into dry storage circa 1967; not used since, it has covered a mere 27,000 miles from new. Finished in Lavender Grey with blue leather interior, it is presented in well preserved, totally original condition (the engine turns over freely) and comes complete with full original tool kit in tray, and a quantity of new spares including valve springs and gasket set. The vehicle is offered with Jaguar/Daimler Heritage Trust certificate and Swansea V5.
