Car returns to auction in '07
    www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php

    Auction description:
HGG 140 remains a magnificent representative finished in the most stylish colour scheme of lavender grey with unmarked sumptuous red leather interior. The cylinder head has been modified for the use of unleaded petrol. Reputedly having been stored from 1954 to 1991, it is understandably described as in very good overall condition and comes with some recent invoices for work carried out, the original old style logbook, a current V5 document and Mot certificate. The mileage of just some 36,000 appears to be genuine.

Having been the fortunate recipient of a new leather interior some 5 years ago the cockpit remains at its opulent best, a first class driving cabin for a car renowned for its ability to cruise long distances in effortless comfort, even if those journeys were over arduous sections of European road on the Monte Carlo Rally. A super example of a rare and increasingly desirable model from that legendary marque.

    Lot 143A - 1950 Jaguar Mk V Saloon
    Estimate: £18,000 - £25,000
    Registration Number: HGG 140
    Chassis Number: 623602

HGG 140 is a fantastic survivor, reputedly having been stored from 1954 to 1991, and is understandably described as being in very good overall condition. The odometer shows a mileage of just some 36,000 miles, which appears to be genuine. During recent years the interior has benefitted from a retrim, and the cylinder head has been modified to run on unleaded.

Offered with invoices for work carried out, the original old style logbook, a current V5 document and fresh MoT test certificate, HGG 1409 is a super example of a rare and increasingly desirable model from a legendary marque.

Car to return to auction 10/13
    www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

    Auction description:
    Lot 656 - 1950 Jaguar Mk V 3.5 litre Sedan
    Estimate: No Reserve
    Registration Number: UK Registered
    Chassis Number: 623602

This Jaguar Mk V is a fantastic example, reputedly having been stored from 1954 to 1991, and is understandably described as being in very good overall condition. The odometer shows a mileage of just some 36,000 miles, which appears to be genuine.
The car underwent restoration in the late 1990's to a high quality standard that is evident by its condition today. The undercarriage is perfect and absolutely rust-free (which is very seldom for these models), the paint almost flawless and the chrome has a deep shine. In 2004 it received a new interior in deep red and the cylinder head has been modified to run on unleaded. Fitted with the biggest and most desirable 3.5-liter six with which it originally left Coventry, its 126hp are corralled to the rear wheels by a four-speed manual transmission. The combination gives the stately saloon long legs for enjoyable and smooth touring. The dashboard wood was polished up to show quality in 2011, as well as the engine bay detailed to show condition. In 2011 it received a major mechanical work, including brakes, master cylinder completely done to better than new condition with powder coated plates; carburettor overhaul, fuel pump).

Offered with invoices for work carried out, the original old style logbook and a current V5 document this is a super example of a rare and increasingly desirable model from a legendary marque.
