Original righthand drive example
Subject to restoration in circa 2009
A matching numbers example

Supplied originally on 15th May 1947, this righthand drive Mk. IV saloon is fitted with the desirable 3500cc engine offering a brisk performance. Without doubt this Jaguar can only be described as a very handsome piece of design work, with superb lines, lots of chromework and sitting proudly on black wire wheels. Finished in black with contrasting blue leather interior, this Jaguar is an imposing looking opulent sports tourer and we think frankly a very ‘cool’ British car of the 40’s.

This very rare car is a matching numbers and an original UK righthand drive example. Purchased by our vendor as part of a significant private collection in 2015 this example has benefitted from continual maintenance and when not in use stored inside in a professional ventilated Carcoon. Restored to a very high standard 10 years ago with no expense spared it is described as extremely original car. This is a great opportunity as an investment to a collector or enthusiast to enjoy and experience the pleasure of the 1940s era and we think at a very attractive estimate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
