''The Jaguar MKV Dropheadcoupe in left hand drive, in 2.5
litre, is one of the rarest Jaguars after the Second World
War. In total only 10 Dropheadcoupes were produced. The
Noble House car is chassisnumber 10, the last Mark V
Dropheadcoupe made. Of the left hand drive 2.5 litre DHC
only three cars have survived.

The MKV DHC is bought by Noble House in Los Angeles, 1989. A
concours restoration is done on this car for a client.
International classic cars experts have rewarded the Noble
House restoration with a second price during concours Palace
Het Loo.

After the restoration, only 4.285 kilometers are driven with
the MKV DHC. She still is in a top condition.''

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
