This car was originally registered MPE 126 with Surrey Council in 1948. It was acquired by The History of Jaguar Museum at Maldon in 1984. A detailed condition report showing essential work required had been prepared in 1983 and many invoices are on file recording restoration work carried out in the 1980s and 1990s. Upon completion of the restoration this car was winner in class at The Town and Country Motoring Festival on its first outing, scoring a highly creditable 483/500 points. Acquired for the vendor’s collection in 1997, this car has seen only occasional use since although has been MoT tested on a regular basis. It is smartly presented in Old English White livery and furnished with red leather interior and red carpets. It was last MoT tested to December 2008 and will come with a Swansea V5C registration document.

Details
This 1948 Jaguar 1.5 Litre Sports Saloon is finished in white with red hide upholstery. It is equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission, sun roof and wire wheels. A beautiful car, which was subject to a most exacting restoration, to concours standard, in 1985. This restoration was carried out by Fullbridge Restorations. The car was then kept in the "History of Jaguar" museum in Maldon, Essex until 1997 when it became part of a private collection. While in that collectio the car has been used sparingly and meticulously kept.

Offered complete with a comprehensive History File, which contains a large quantity of invoices and correspondence relating to the restoration, maintanance of the car and a Heritage Certificate. Having only covered a carefull 4000 miles since the restoration the car is still in show condition and drives superbly.

Estimate £27500-30000
