Car offered at:
www.stableltd.com/inventory.aspx

Sellers description:
1962. We purchased this wonderful old Jaguar from a local (Far Hills) estate in late 1983. Its owner had taken loving care of the car, even taking it back & forth to England on occasion with the family on the QE2. Finished in black with cinnamon leather with highly polished walnut facia, trim & rear-seat picnic tables and equipped with chrome wire wheels. The car covered 69,421 miles with the original owner and 14,660 additional miles with its 2nd local (Bernardsville) family to whom we sold the car in Feb. 1984.
Mileage 84,087
Price $ 22,500

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
