Auction description:
Lot No: 109
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model MkX 3.8
First Registered 1963
Registration No WPV986A
Engine No ZA.8064-8
Chassis No 304314BW
MOT Nov 2011
Colour Burgundy

This example has lived in the Colchester area since it was new, being originally supplied to Mr. D. Barbour of Colchester in April 1963. The car was then acquired by the vendor, of Aldham, Colchester, in November 2007, to whom it still remains registered. The indicated mileage of around 78,800 miles is thought to be genuine and the car is presented in extraordinary, original condition.

Finished in metallic burgundy with cream leather the car is beautifully sound throughout and has a lovely patina about the original leather, which is creased with wear but in good condition. The woodwork is all there and in presentable, original condition. The original tool kit is still present.

The car is believed to have had just two owners from new, one from 1963 to 2007 and the second from 2007 to date. It drives very well, starts without hesitation and sits well on the road.

The rear bumper has been removed for replating but will have been re-fitted in time for the sale.

Estimate £8, 000 - 10,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
