Sellers description:
Dark Green exterior Suede Green interior N/A miles Registration UKE155B Right-hand drive Chassis Number 232982DN Engine Number LC9992-8 Retaining all its original sports modifications this car comes with letters confirming its authenticity. One of approx forty cars built, with blistering performance equal to the 3.8 litre E Type roadster of the same period ! Originally registered EPB593B, dispatched from Jaguar to supplying dealer Coombs & Sons of Guildford 20th July 1964. It was subsequently sold to Border Plant Hire Ltd, Cumbria and registered 3/9/64 with the following sports modifications made in period by Coombs garages; 9:1 high compression engine, lightened fly-wheel, twin 2" SU carbs with cold air intake, high ratio steering box, adjustable shocks with up rated springs all round and modified anti roll bar and louvered bonnet. This car in fact had every sports upgrade apart from the twin fuel tanks, plus it is fitted with a full length Webbasto sunroof. Having undergone a mechanical restoration in 2002 including an engine rebuild by VSE and a sympathetic cosmetic restoration the car remains in very good, solid, non corroded condition. It comes with many bills for the work undertaken and letters from Jaguar and ex Coombs engineer Ken Bell confirming authenticity. Rare, exotic and fast ! A very collectable Jaguar.
