Car now offered at:

Seller's description:

Classic Motor Cars Ltd. Bridgnorth, UK

Mk II 3.8

First registration date 06/1964

Year of manufacture 1964

Mileage (read) 60,795 mls

Chassis number 231831DN

This stunning MK2 was delivered new to Mr. Hoff from Birmingham in December 1963.

The car enjoyed a good life until 1988 when the car had a full Vicarage restoration.

Vicarage not only undertook a bare metal renovation, but in addition added some subtle enhancements that have made these cars sought after today.

Finished in Red with Grey Leather and 4 speed Synco Gearbox with Overdrive . The car was fitted with many subtle upgrades, and as time went on it has been improved further, highlights being:

Stainless Steel Wire Wheels, Uprated Carbs ( HIF SU), Electronic Ignition, Power Steering, Oil Cooler, Alternator, Stainless Steel Exhaust, Hazard Warning Lights, Uprated Wipers, Immobiliser, Vicarage uprated Torsion Bar, Uprated Heater and Fan, Air Conditioning, ‘Vanden Plas’ Reclining Front Seats and Head Rests, Inertia Seat Belts Front and Back, Heated Rear Screen.

This stunning MK2 has a comprhensive history and in 2014 the car had major bodywork renovation again, carried out this time by us. We have had a long association with this car and have only added to its already extensive history file.

Over the last few years we have seen this beauty yearly for service despite only covering a very small mileage, In addition, a great deal has been spent on new Power Steering Pump, New Fuse box and Electrics, to name but a few.

This car drives superbly and cannot fail to turn heads. A 3.8 MK2 of this specification and quality will not be here long.

The next lucky owner will enjoy a fresh service and MOT and the comfort of our CMC warranty.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
