The example on offer belongs to the most sought after version, as it is equipped with the 3.8L engine and the manual gearbox with an optional overdrive. As confirmed by its Jaguar Heritage sheet, it left the factory on 15 April 1964 before being sold new on 5 May of the same year by DIFMA, in Casablanca, Morocco. It was registered in the South of France in January 1984, and it was in 1998 that our Jaguar collector acquired it. The bodywork o the car has then been restored and it has been repainted in the elegant grey colour that suits it perfectly. The car is in sound condition and the openings well aligned. The long spans have been replaced by chrome grills. The now patinated upholstery has been redone in midnight blue with matching carpets. At the time of the purchase, the original engine had already been replaced by a Jaguar E-Type 3.8 engine, with the specific MK2 intake and two small air filters. The performance of the car is logically improved. In good used condition, this homogenous MK2 will need a general service for long distance drives, but is the perfect car for elegant family trips.
