Car to be at auction 11/18
www.osenat.com/lot/93661/9473581

Auction description:
Lot 121
Est 30,000 - 40,000 €
1963 JAGUAR MK.II 3,8L
Serial number 222247
Quality restoration
Ex Pierre Bergé
French gray card

This model is one of the most desirable Jaguar Mk.II. Indeed, it is in a remarkable state from both an aesthetic and mechanical point of view. Registered May 18, 1963, this Mk.II is presented in a very elegant green English paint bound with a beige leather interior. The sedan was also equipped during its life, four electric windows, power steering and air conditioning. It was completely restored in 1990 by S.A.O. A restoration of quality as evidenced by an expertise dating from 2011. Nevertheless, for the sake of detail, it passed into the hands of the Parisian specialist Montmartre Automobiles for major work. She received a new paint, the grille, the joints, many staples and sheaths were replaced. The mechanics were revised, including all the engine gaskets, a refurbishment of the radiator and heater while the battery, tires, fuel pump and various wear parts were replaced, all for a bill over € 19,000. It was then maintained regularly, so that the last technical inspection of September 2017 appears as blank. The result is an extremely pleasant car to drive, the engine and the chassis do not give any sign of fatigue, the automatic transmission is flexible and responsive, precise steering and quality braking, above all, the car drives completely naturally, in little detail near a modern sedan.
With today 31932 kilometers on the clock, it is a car with an exceptional history, used by Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent, always maintained without counting, a unique opportunity to acquire a sedan of haute couture, that whose dress is today inscribed in the pantheon of automotive design.

Lot 64 - Osenat

1963 JAGUAR MK.II 3,8L Serial number 222247 Quality restoration Ex-Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent French registration 30 000 - 40 000 € This is one of the most desirable Jaguar Mk.IIs. Indeed, it is in remarkable condition both aesthetically and mechanically. Registered on May 18, 1963, this Mk.II is presented in an elegant English green paint scheme, with a beige leather interior. During its lifetime, the sedan was also equipped with four electric windows, power steering and air conditioning. It was fully restored in 1990 by S.A.O. A quality restoration, as attested by a 2011 appraisal. Nevertheless, for the sake of detail, it passed into the hands of Parisian specialist Montmartre Automobiles for extensive work. It received a new paint job, much of the chrome was redone or replaced, and the mechanicals were completely overhauled (gaskets, fuel pump, radiator), all for a total bill of over 19,000 euros. Acquired by the current owner in 2018, this car is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable Jaguar MK2s we've sold in recent years. Used by Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent for many years. It represents an exceptional opportunity for any enthusiast of the brand.
