This 1961 Jaguar Mk II was refurbished and modified by the seller’s shop in 2013, including a repaint in British Racing Green and the installation of a fuel-injected 4.0-liter inline-six, a five-speed manual transmission, and updated front and rear suspension. Additional equipment includes brown leather upholstery, fog lights, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, front bucket seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a Speedhut speedometer, and a heater. This Mk II is now offered in British Columbia with build records and British Columbia registration in the name of the seller’s company.
The car is finished in British Racing Green and was repainted following the completion of bodywork during the build. Exterior equipment includes a Leaper hood ornament, fog lights, a pop-up cowl vent, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, trim, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Michelin tires measuring 215/60. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension and a cantilevered live rear axle. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with red-finished calipers. The front and rear suspension were updated, and a rear sway bar and Spax front and rear shocks were installed during the build. The seller notes that the shocks may need replacement.
The cockpit features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been re-trimmed in brown leather with beige piping along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Burl walnut veneers adorn the dashboard, door caps, and window frames, and interior equipment includes cup holders, a heater, and front and rear vent windows.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a Speedhut 260-km/h speedometer, a Smiths 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges displaying water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The digital odometer shows 129 kilometers, and total mileage is unknown.
The fuel-injected 4.0L inline-six was reportedly sourced from a Jaguar XJ6 and installed during the build along with a replacement wiring harness. More recent work in 2023 consisted of a tune-up, replacement battery, and oil change.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission.
The vehicle does not have a title and is being sold on its British Columbia registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
