This 1961 Jaguar Mk II is said to have spent time in Connecticut before being brought to Canada in 2003. It subsequently underwent a multi-year refurbishment in Ontario prior to being acquired by the current owner in 2015 and relocated to Quebec. The car is finished in red and the interior has been re-trimmed in ivory leather upholstery. Power is provided by a 3.8-liter inline-six linked with a three-speed automatic transmission, and further equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes, rear fender skirts, burl wood interior trim, a Motorola push-button AM radio, a Moto-Lita-style steering wheel, and seatback tray tables. A 12-volt electrical conversion was performed, the steering system was serviced, the SU carburetors were rebuilt, and replacement 15″ knock-off wire wheels were installed under current ownership. This Mk II is now offered at no reserve with Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificates , manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and Quebec registration in the name of the seller’s spouse.

The car was finished from the factory in Carmen Red, and the seller notes that paint touch-up was performed as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior details include H4 headlights, auxiliary inboard lights, fender-mounted mirrors, pop-out vent windows, removable rear fender skirts, chrome-finished bumpers with overriders, and dual exhaust outlets.

Replacement chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels wear 195/75 American Classic wide-whitewall tires that are said to have been mounted in 2017, and a spare is housed in the trunk. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The steering system was serviced and the front and rear shocks were replaced under current ownership.

The front bucket seats and rear bench seat have been re-trimmed in ivory leather, and burl wood trim adorns the dashboard, window surrounds, and upper doors. Additional appointments include a Motorola push-button AM radio, seatback tray tables, and Jaguar-branded carpeted floor mats.

The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita-style steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a tachometer with an inset clock accompanied by a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. An auxiliary readout for battery condition is located beneath the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 3.8-liter inline-six features dual SU carburetors as well as an electronic ignition system, and an aluminum radiator with an electric pusher fan has been added. The seller reports that the car is equipped with an alternator and a high-torque starter, the electrical system has been converted to a negative ground 12-volt setup, and the carburetors have been rebuilt under current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with a stainless-steel exhaust system. The seller states that the driveshaft was balanced under current ownership and notes a transmission fluid leak.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate lists a manufacture date of February 1st, 1961, and distribution through Henlys of London, England, as well as serial numbers and factory colors. Manufacturer’s literature, service records from current ownership, and a 1961 Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate can be viewed in the gallery along with an included suitcase, knock-off tool and mallet, and spare fan.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its Quebec registration.
