The vendor rescued '882 TTU' from dry storage in 1992, since when it has been extensively refurbished and treated to numerous upgrades. On returning to the road in 1999 it benefited from: an overhauled MK10 high-compression engine with unleaded cylinder head; twin SU HS8 carburettors; Series 3 XJ6 con rods, front casing, water pump, alternator and power steering pump; electronic distributor; high-flow alloy radiator and electric fan; stainless steel exhaust system; all synchromesh overdrive gearbox; limited slip differential; Variomatic power steering; Coopercraft front brake calipers. A bare metal respray was carried out in in 2005/2006; the woodwork and interior trim given attention in 2012; and new tyres fitted in 2013. The impressive specification also includes: a wood rim steering wheel, inertia reel seat belts and door mirrors. The MKII is being sold with Heritage certificate, original handbook and warranty card, 10 old MOT certificates and one valid until September.
