We always manage to collect together a superb cross section of vehicles covering all tastes and pockets. Some are restoration projects and some are exceptional - and some are even better than that. This 1968 Jaguar 340 saloon is one of those.
This car has been the subject of a total nut and bolt three year restoration programme, which was finished in 1994, and in fact it has only covered a mere 624 miles since the restoration. It has been finished in Pearlescent Cherry paint and has been retrimmed in Magnolia leather which is piped in Red. It has a manual four speed gearbox with overdrive, the 3442cc six cylinder engine and it has a current M.O.T. test until May of this year.
Everything has been done on this superb car including an engine rebuild, new panels, new doors skins, two new front wings and then it had a bare metal respray and a louvred bonnet and moulded in 3" spats were included. It has been rewired, rechromed, a new stainless steel exhaust has been fitted, reclining seats have been added to the front and new carpets have been fitted. Please note that the present private owner and vendor has owned this car since 1986 and photographs, receipts and bills are available for viewing in the history file.
It is now an exemplary vehicle in prime condition and totally justifies its estimated valuation. If you consider what it will cost you to get a car into the same condition as this - its a steal!"
