Car to be at auction 4/18
www.barons-auctions.com/auction_details.php

Auction description:
Lot 136
Manufacturer: Jaguar
Model: Mk2 240 Manual with Overdrive
First Registered: 1968
Registration No: OHL 806G
Mileometer: 4000
Chassis No 1J4049DN
MOT: November 2018
Colour: Grey

The vendor tells us that this vehicle is solid with no rot, just some surface rust on door bottoms and boot lid edge. The engine was rebuild 5000 miles ago, it benefited from a re-bore, new piston rings and crank shaft re-ground, with bills present. The car drives without fault, smooth gearbox and clutch, overdrive working.

Showing 11 former keepers and two colour changes, it would benefit from a new interior trim kit. The mileage is believed to be around 105,000 miles according to old MOT's. The car had a speedometer change in 2011, and is now showing 4,000 miles.

Guide Price: £7,000 to £9,000

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
